Yale Aims to Boost Women Entrepreneurs

Joe Masters is a Yale graduate with a degree in law, and is the president of a software development company. To replicate Joe Masters' post-Yale success with other students and graduates, Yale is partnering with the Dolphin Tank project to bring together five women innovators to pitch their business ideas.

The Dolphin Tank program was first launched in 2010 by Springboard Enterprises, a non-profit company that elevates and amplifies the portfolios of women in under-represented areas such as STEM and investment. The five entrepreneurs, who are all women from Yale, have been invited to pitch their ideas in an environment that promises professional yet friendly feedback and critique.

The pitch submissions cover a range of topics from digital health, therapy, and personal devices. The goal of the Dolphin Tank program is to get these ideas and turn them into real companies with promising futures - each idea is thus far at an early stage in its development and is looking for the next step to reach its potential. The hosts of the event are all industry professionals with both a wealth of expertise and a genuine desire to see promising new ideas get off the ground.
