Workshops at Yale Law School

A 2000 graduate of Centre College with a BA in history, Joseph Masters attended Yale Law School between 2004 and 2007. While earning their degrees, students like Joseph Masters could take advantage of workshops offered by the school.

Yale Law School’s 10 workshops draw on the expertise of attorneys, scholars, lawmakers, and more. They take place periodically throughout the school year, sometimes spanning multiple days or sessions.

One example is the Legal History Forum, offering legal experts worldwide the opportunity to discuss their specialty. Examples of topics include English legal history and constitutional law regarding treason. Events occur during each semester, in the afternoon, in one of the school’s staff lounges.

Other workshops foster collaboration with and among experts representing a certain geographic location. Launched in 1998, the Middle East Legal Studies Seminar (MELSS) gives active legal professionals and scholars from countries in that region a place to discuss salient issues such as democratic reform.
